    Introduction

    The GR1P model is our flagship router platform offering robust routing capability, along with optional advanced security capability for today's complex threat landscape. It is offered as a purchasable device, that comes standard with a 5 year hardware warranty and optional annual remote support plans. We also use this platform in our Managed Router offering, which includes the hardware, support, and advanced security services.

    This document provides additional details on the platform, which technologies we use in the platform and some general specification information

    Overview

    The router comes standard as a 1U rack mount, switch depth server platform. The standard configuration boasts 64 gb of ram, redundant 1TB nvme drives, and runs a hardened Linux based platform, and can handle up to 10Gbps of line throughput.  The model comes in either a 6 port or 8 port version, where the 8 port version has two additional SFP+ ports. Multiple devices can be configured in a high availability configuration and come standard with a 5 year hardware warranty.

    The software platforms that come standard include OPNSense as the router platform, with optional security services provided by Zenarmor. These devices can be configured in a multi-purpose mode to provide additional capability to serve edge use case requirements, with the option to increase the memory and storage capacity for more complex and demanding scenarios.
