No Network Connection for Office Applications

The Problem

At times, it's possible that Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and OneDrive can have trouble authenticating or even connecting to the internet. You may receive the following error:

"No Internet Connection Please check your network settings and try again. (2603)"

While this can be caused by a lack of internet connection or a firewall blocking certain components, including the Microsoft Sign In assistant, there are other issues that can happen.

The Fix

There are several things that can be tried, here's a list in order or preference:
  1. Perform a reset of your internet settings by running the following from the "Run" command: RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ResetIEtoDefaults  (Then restart your machine)
  2. Perform a quick repair of Office from Control Panel > Programs and Features > Office > Change > Quick Repair
  3. Perform a full repair of Office from Control Panel > Programs and Features > Office > Change > Online Repair
