On-boarding with Stapel Communications Services

We are very excited you have decided to leverage Stapel's Communication services and want to share some very important information to help make the implementation of our platform in your environment go as smoothly as possible. In this article we will outline the general steps and introduce some very important resources that we encourage you to review prior to the initial on-boarding call to prepare you to assist us in the information gathering stage of the project.

Here's what you need to know:
  1. The first step is to schedule the initial on-boarding call. If your account manager has not already set this up, you can schedule a time that works for you at this link.
  2. Next is to review the VoIP Discovery Survey. You can submit the survey if you know the answers to the questions, otherwise, just become familiar with the information, as we will go through this during our on-boarding call.
  3. To gather the detailed information related to your environment specifically, we use what we call the "Voip Configuration Worksheet" to help facilitate getting all the specific details we will need to setup your phone system properly. PLEASE NOTE: This is a very detailed tool, so just becoming familiar with the details is helpful. If you feel like you want to start gathering this information, feel free to download a copy of the template and start on it. We will also be going over this in great detail during the call to explain how to use the tool and coordinate assisting you with it.
  4. After we have gathered the details we need, we will begin building out your customized communication platform. Depending on how complex your environment is, this can take anywhere between 3 days to 2 weeks.
  5. Hardware configuration will be started after the initial phone system is configured. If we are re-using existing equipment that is owned by you, we will coordinate the timing and process for this with our Point of Contact in your organization.
  6. Once we have configured and tested your system, or during this process, we will work to schedule the "Porting Process" for your existing phone numbers. This is a process where we work with your current provider to migrate your phone numbers to the new system.
  7. We will coordinate the shipping of any hardware, and if your contract includes onsite deployment services, schedule the onsite visit in conjunction with the scheduled port date.
This is the general overview of the process and we will answer your questions and talk through more detail during our initial on-boarding call.

Thank you again and we look forward to providing your communication needs.
